Share initial brainstorming/ideation sketches and storyboards. Get feedback from your user to see which they like. Pick one with them to prototype.

Taking what I have learnt from my client during the discover and define stage I have done 12 digital sketches to present to them using the feedback I had received along with my secondary research.

As I presented my simple sketches to both my Aunty Vicky and little cousin Luke I asked them to tell me their favourite design which I marked with a 1 then their 2nd and 3rd which I marked with a 1 and 2. The green was my Aunty's response and the purple was Lukes.

From this I tried to hold all the highlights into one lamp. I wanted to please not only my aunty but Luke as well. Looking at Lukes interests I knew the lamp had to be interactive but a sleek sturdy design. I know he likes reading so something that could pair up quite nicely is the projector lights he liked! How cool would it be when he's reading to turn on his lamp and see stars on his roof! Or I know he likes reading so what about silhouettes from images from out of his story book? He could be reading about a dragon then click or switch an image out for the next scene.I knew my aunty wanted it to be educational so this could really encourage and progress his reading.

But then got thinking again. My aunty wants to teach my little cousin about his heritage. Being from the Cook Islands myself our family is hugely proud of our culture and is something we value. I want my design to be fitting to this. I want the images

Trying to decide what to do it finally hit me! Why not do both? Projections from Cook Island legends with a story to go along with it.

I then presented them this story board and asked if this is an idea they would like to see come to life. I explained my concept to them. Excitingly they said they loved the idea and would love to see a prototype of it! That is when my next challenge began on how to make this concept a feasible idea.
